April 29th, a poem

Here’s a poem to celebrate my new theme for The Humble Watermelon! And to more consistent posting (I promise)!

April 29th

Sweet, young wind
mellow sun
bright birds
stretched blues.
Caress me
tenderly
forgivingly
faithfully.

How soft the air is,
its gentleness polishing
my skin, grazing
against my hopes.
The horizon,
its completeness, its
humble assurance settles
in my eyes.
